This Brooklyn House May Have The Best Halloween Decorations In All Of NYC
Located at the corner of Albemarle Road and Argyle Roadhe, this Victorian Queen Anne-style house is adorned with what seems to be hundreds of Halloween decorations. Skeletons climb the exterior of the house, spider webs cover the lawn, and ghosts greet you on the porch. Gravestones peek out from the bushes as butchered body parts hang from the porch roof. And it’s long been a favorite spooky spot for New Yorkers.
According to the NY Post, the house is owned by award-winning playwright David Lindsay-Abaire and his wife. You can see what he has to say about their over-the-top decorations here. The house even lights up at night into a massive display of Halloween horror. If you’re looking for a scare, this house is sure to spook…especially on Halloween night!

Indian Railways to Set Up 4 More ‘Restaurant on Wheels’ at THESE Stations in Maharashtra
The Central Railway will soon set up ‘Restaurant on Wheels’ at four more stations in Maharashtra apart from two such existing facilities, to offer a unique experience to diners inside a modified coach mounted on rails, officials said on Tuesday. The CR opened one such restaurant at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) in Mumbai last year and another one at Nagpur station earlier this year under the Non Fare Revenue Scheme.
Similar restaurants will soon come up at Akurdi, Chinchwad, Baramati (all in Pune district) and Miraj (Sangli) stations under the scheme, the Central Railway (CR) said in a release. “The ‘Restaurant on Wheels’ theme is a superb example of passenger-friendly initiatives combined with novel ideas of revenue generation,” it said. Around 1.25 lakh visitors have enjoyed eating at the CSMT restaurant and 1.50 lakh people visited the outlet in Nagpur since the opening of the two facilities, the release said.
London is going to be as hot as Spain this weekend
In another turn of freak-weather events, London is set to reach highs of 22C today, marking the warmest end to an October the capital has seen in eight years.
Temperatures of 20.5C were recorded in St James’s Park in London on Wednesday. Now the Met Office says temperatures in our city could increase to 21C or 22C throughout today (matching the current temperature in Barcelona), and will remain unusually warm over the weekend. The average minimum temperature in the city for this time of year is usually pretty chilly, around 7C, while the maximum temperature is 13C. Alex Burkill, senior meteorologist at the Met Office, said: ‘It’s likely to be the warmest spell we’ve had at the end of October since 2014, when we had the warmest Halloween on record.’
