Now you can travel to Croatia on a Schengen visa!
The European Union has finally approved Croatia as a Schengen state, and now travellers on a Schengen visa can add Croatia to their list of countries to visit on one visa.
From January 1, 2023, travellers will be allowed to visit the country on a Schengen visa. Even though the border check-free measure will be implemented from January 1, technical preparations in the country’s airport will be able to follow this from March 26. Croatia shares borders with Slovenia, Hungary, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Italy (sea border).
J&K Tourism likely to open two more tourist hotspots this winter season
As per the latest developments, the Jammu and Kashmir Tourism is planning to add two more key tourist destinations to the same league as Pahalgam and Gulmarg ski resort as winter sets in. This move is aimed to woo more footfalls to the region.
Reports have it that the winter carnival, ice city, and other related events are being planned for this winter that will take place at these two new destinations alongside Pahalgam and Gulmarg. And if the other two destinations remain open this winter, it will boost tourism in the Valley, reports added.
Manohar Parrikar International Airport in Mopa to start operations soon
Goa’s second international airport is here and all set to start operations from January 5, 2023. The new airport will connect Mopa (Goa) with eight major Indian cities: Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Hyderabad and Chennai. There will be daily flights to Chennai from Mopa, except on Wednesdays. Also, flights to Ahmedabad are daily, except on Sundays.
After January 5, some of the flights, which are already booked, are expected to shift to the new airport. So travellers are advised to keep an eye on any notifications from the concerned airlines. Manohar Parrikar International Airport is located in Mopa village in Pernem. Mopa is just 43 km (one hour) from the capital city of Panjim.
