Smiling 2000-year-old Sphinx statue, with dimples, discovered in Egypt!
In a recent discovery, archaeologists in Egypt have found a statue that resembles a 2,000-year-old sphinx, which even has dimples and a smiling face. As per the news reports, this astounding discovery was made close to the Dendera Temple complex, in the Qena Province of southern Egypt. The artefact is made of limestone, and is believed to be an enhanced depiction of an ancient Roman emperor.
The accurately and beautifully carved sphinx was discovered close to the Hathor Temple, which is famed to be one of Egypt’s best-preserved ancient sites, as per the Antiquities Ministry of Egypt. Apart from a mud-brick basin and Byzantine-era two-layer platform, archaeologists also discovered a Roman-era stone slab with hieroglyphic and demotic inscriptions.
The well-known sphinx that is found in the Pyramids of Giza, stands at a height of 66 ft, and is actually much larger in size than the recently discovered limestone artefact, which is believed to be the stylised version of an ancient Roman emperor.

Do you know what the letter ‘X’ on a train’s last coach denotes?
If you have travelled in India via trains, you might have noticed that Indian rail coaches often feature a lot of symbols and letters on them that we often don’t bother to understand or seek explanation. Well, you all will also agree that one such symbol is the large ‘X’ word, which is often seen on the last coach of a train. So, do you actually know what’s meant by that symbol?
You might have different ideas, but the Indian Railways recently took to Twitter to explain the logic behind this symbol, and many like you will finally get their answer. Referring to this, Indian Railways tweeted that the letter ‘X’ on the last coach of the train denotes that the train has passed without any coaches being left behind. The symbol signifies that all coaches of a train have passed without any coach being detached. It also serves as a confirmation for the railway officials. The ‘X’ is painted on the last coach of a train in yellow, which can be seen on any passenger-carrying train and on freight trains.
