Tarakan, Indonesia - October 08, 2022 : The Iraw Tengkayu Festival is a traditional ceremony and competition held by the Tidung people in Tarakan City, North Kalimantan Province. Iraw Tengkayu is a hereditary ceremony performed by the Tidung tribal community, Tarakan City, North Kalimantan Province. Iraw Tengkayu itself has two meanings taken from the Tidung language. Iraw which means celebration or party, while Tengkayu is a small island surrounded by the sea, which means the small island here is Tarakan Island.

The celebrations were disrupted in 2020 and 2021, but this year’s Hornbill Festival will be a grand affair with new ideas and concepts. The festival will be held from December 1 to 10 at Naga Heritage Village, Kisama, around 12 km from state capital Kohima.

Meghalaya gets its first ever 5 star hotel in Shillong!

Meghalaya has finally got its first 5-star hotel! After a wait of nearly 36 years, Vivanta Meghalaya was inaugurated in Shillong last week.

The hotel is built over an area of 8800 sq m and features 101 rooms along with other modern facilities. The property also features a beautiful restaurant, pretty coffee shops, retail shops, bar and a banquet hall for the convenience of guests.

The Vistara flights between Pune and Singapore will have a starting price of Rs 17,799 for economy tickets and goes up to Rs 82,999 for business class tickets. The consumers can book flight tickets for their Pune-Singapore journey for Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. The Singapore-Pune tickets will be available on the same days as mentioned above.
