It’s about to get more difficult to visit the Louvre in Paris – here’s why

Planning on visiting Paris’ world-renowned, totally-spectacular art museum the Louvre anytime soon? Well, you might have to be a bit more organised than in the past. The museum has announced it is limiting the number of daily entries to 30,000 in an effort to reduce overcrowding.

It’s worth mentioning, however, that you’ve long been able to reserve an entry slot online at the Louvre. Plus, while the museum might have enjoyed 45,000 daily visitors back in 2019, since closing during the pandemic it has only seen about 30,000. In other words, the new policy intends to maintain current crowd numbers and prevent them from increasing to previous levels – especially in anticipation of the Paris Olympics in 2024.

Universal Announces New Family Park in Texas

Universal Parks & Resorts announced a new theme park in Texas designed for families with young children. According to Universal, the new kid park concept is set in a lush green landscape and features themed lands that celebrate Universal’s brand of entertainment, humor, and innovation. The park will bring to life its beloved characters and stories in ways that will wow even the youngest theme park goers.

Universal’s proposed park will be designed to be more intimate and engaging for younger audiences and will be sized for a regional audience. It will be full of family-friendly attractions, interactive and playful shows, character meet and greets, unique merchandise and fun food and beverage venues.

A massive, luxurious Orient Express cruise ship is about to set sail

If you’re itching for a new ultra-glam travel experience (who isn’t?), we’ve got great news. Following the announcement that a new version of the classic Orient Express train route will launch in 2025, the same company is bringing its signature opulence to the seas with a brand-new sailing ship.

The ship, named the Orient Express Silenseas, is the result of a partnership between hospitality company Accor and ship-building service Chantiers de l’Atlantique. It will be the biggest sailing ship in the world, measuring 220 meters long.

The ship will host 54 suites, including a 15,000-square-foot Presidential Suite, as well as two swimming pools, two restaurants, a ‘speakeasy’ bar, a recording studio, and on-site entertainment at the ship’s very own amphitheatre. If that’s not enough for your expensive tastes, you’ll also be able to book in for spa treatments and meditation sessions on board – in between plenty of stopovers. It’ll sail through the Mediterranean in the summer and the Caribbean in the winter.
