Uttar Pradesh is working towards developing the state as an “all-season” tourism destination. More importantly, they are working towards developing Kangra District as the state’s Tourism Capital. Kangra is one of the most loved districts in Himachal Pradesh, mainly because of a large number of tourist attractions that it has to offer. Starting from the Dhauladhar mountain range in Dharamsala to the verdant tea estates in Palampur and the forts and temples spread across the district, Kangra has plenty of places to visit and things to do.

A lot of popular cuisines and handicrafts come from Kangra district. Local delicacies like siddu, dham, madra, tudkiya bhath, and handicrafts like Kangra paintings, wood carvings, Tibetan thangkas, pottery, metal crafts and handloom to name a few, make Kangra district one of the top destinations in North India.

It’s visa-on-arrival for Indians travelling to Egypt!

Egypt has recently changed its visa policy and it’s excellent news for Indians because the country has decided to offer visa-on-arrival for Indians.

If reports are to go by, a five-year multiple-entry visa would cost INR 57,688, and a single-entry visa-on-arrival would cost INR 2,060. The visa will be valid for 30 days from the date of arrival. This new visa policy covers more than 180 countries. Recently, there have been so many new discoveries in Giza, it would be quite exciting to go see what it’s all about! If reports are to go by, the recent changes in the visa policy are made in order to boost tourism in the country.

Indian Railways announces tour package from Ayodhya to Vaishno Devi

If you have been planning a trip to Vaishno Devi, the Indian Railways is coming with a great offer. Reports have it that IRCTC will be starting a cost-effective train tour package from Ayodhya to Vaishno Devi. As part of the package, it will take the passengers via Ayodhya, Vaishno Devi, Pryaagraaj, and Varanasi.

The train trip will be of 11 days and 10 nights long. As per the tour package, the tour will commence from Assam to Dibrugarh, wherein the passengers will be boarding the Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train. One can board this train from the following stations — Dibrugarh, Lumding, Mariani, Guwahati, New Cooch Behar, Katihar and New Jalpaiguri stations.
