With summer just around the corner, you can now cool down in the evenings by taking a dip at a brand-new set of beaches along the Jumeirah coastline.

Three new beaches are now open for night swimming in Dubai; specifically in Jumeirah 2, Jumeirah 3 and Umm Suqeim 1, expanding the city’s beach tourism offerings.

These 800-metre beaches are equipped with lighting, so you will be able to see exactly where you’re swimming.

The beaches will also have systems and electronic screens set up to display content aimed at increasing safety awareness among beachgoers.

A spokesperson of Dubai explained that the new night-swimming beaches are part of the city’s efforts to make the emirate the world’s best place to live and visit. He added that the initiative forms part of Dubai’s beach development plan to provide distinctive experiences for residents and tourists.

The authorities have also developed unique facilities to improve the experience of beachgoers. They’ve promised that each beach has its own unique charm and offers a range of activities, including vibrant seaside dining.

The swimmers are also looked after by qualified lifeguards equipped with rescue and emergency devices to make sure that everyone swimming at night is completely safe.

Night swimming timings start from sunset to sunrise every day.

How to stay safe while night swimming in Dubai

To enhance safety, Dubai Municipality recommends that beachgoers engage in night swimming only in designated zones and avoid going into the sea from other areas.

The Municipality also emphasised the importance of safety awareness, compliance with beach rules and regulations, constant monitoring of children and following the lifeguards’ instructions.

With warm water and balmy temperatures, night swimming in Dubai is the perfect way to beat the heat. So pack up that beach bag and head to Jumeirah for some night swimming with friends and family.

Free. Daily from sunset-sunrise. Jumeirah 2, Jumeirah 3 and Umm Suqeim 1
