What’s more intimate than feeding someone a love-filled meal?

As Fanny Farmer once said, the way to a person’s heart is through their stomach. So, if you’re trying to treat your loved one to a special meal, we recommend cueing up a rom-com on Netflix, gussying up the place with some V-Day decorations, and treating your partner to a romantic dinner for two at home instead of agonizing over dining at a restaurant this Valentine’s Day (especially in the middle of a pandemic).

Whether you’re looking for something extravagant, or something more casual, The Singing Home Chef has you covered (if you live in Mumbai) with dishes that will suit any date night vibe.

There are several options for pies, including steak and kidney pie, potato and leek pie, mutton chops, El Chicken Moile Curry, Veg Mousakka, Roasted Cauliflower, and of course to make sure you have the perfect happy ending, they have some very special Valentine’s Day desserts like Battenberg inspired cake, American walnut choco-chip cookies, German Linzer cookies, and Chocolate truffles.

For those who do not live in Mumbai, The Singing Home Chef has very kindly shared her secret Prawn and Pumpkin Lonvas recipe, to make this February 14 stand out from the rest by showing your other half how much they mean to you with Valentine’s Day dinner made from the heart.

About The Singing Home Chef: We have known Chris Kane and her husband, Russel Kane, for many years now. Chris hails from a family that was in the food catering business, so cooking was woven into her life and, shall we say destiny, from the very beginning. No surprise therefore that she took to it during the pandemic, after having spent many years in the diamond jewelry industry – and now she along with her husband and three daughters are running a full-time specialized food catering business from their home. For Chris, it is a combination of her two favorite passions – food and singing – coming together. So, as she cooks, she sings, and it is evident that the songs she sings while she cooks are the secret ingredient that makes her cooking so special.
