Anyone who has seen the 2005 Rom-Com, Monster in Law is sure to remember the famous restaurant scene between Jane Fonda and Jennifer Lopez. It was shot at The Little Door, named the most romantic restaurant in LA. As you enter this brasserie, you’ll discover a hidden paradise, colorful crowd, dreamy courtyard, and elegant displays of rustic Mediterranean cuisine. This celebrity hotspot, which was opened in 1996 by French-born brothers Frederic and Nicolas Meschin is actually a converted former schoolhouse and has four different dining areas: the Blue Room, the Winter Garden, the Patio, and the Piano Room. The most popular area, and the area where Monster-in-Law was filmed, is the Patio, a beautiful garden setting complete with trees, trickling fountains, twinkle lights, and a retractable glass roof that is opened during the summer months. If you are wondering what to eat, try the foie gras torchon with creme brulee on truffle brioche toast and the pancetta-wrapped fillet mignon with balsamic demi-glace.
