London can feel like walking through a time-lapse video: crowds are constantly moving; trends change as you blink, architectural grandeur rises up all around you in the West End, ancient remains dot the City and charming pubs punctuate the historic quarters, leafy suburbs, and river banks. And after you are done playing the quintessential tourist, checking off many of the usual attractions —Buckingham Palace, Tower of London, Hyde Park, Westminster Abbey, you could pretty much eat your way through London until this food capital’s cuisine lingers in the mind, and on the palate. London is a melting pot of diverse cultures and a multitude of cuisines come together in perfect harmony to create an eclectic culinary scene. However the dishes are among the nation’s favorite comfort foods are – Curry ( A variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes originating in the Indian subcontinent that use a complex combination of spices or herbs) Shepperd’s Pie (essentially a casserole with cooked meat and vegetables in a flavorful gravy, topped with creamy mashed potatoes) and Yorkshire pudding (a common English side dish consisting of a baked pudding made from batter consisting of eggs, flour, and milk or water).
