How To Make The Perfect Classic Negroni

It’s World Gin Day today – a global celebration of all things gin, held on the second Saturday in June! The idea is simple: get people together all around the world and raise a glass to the brilliant spirit that is GIN! Whether it’s in a cocktail, a Gin and Tonic, or neat as part of a tasting, it’s about celebrating this wonderful juniper-laced spirit in all of its glory.

Today we are sharing the recipe of one of the most popular Italian cocktails that are said to have been invented in Florence by the dauntless Italian Count Camillo Negroni in the early 20th century. In terms of popularity, it sits right next to the Martini and Manhattan, the two most loved and consumed classic cocktails in the world. Today the Negroni can be found in myriad iterations at restaurants and cocktail bars around the world.

Bitter, sweet, dry, and refreshing all at once the perfect classic Negroni cocktail calls for a perfect balance: which means you use equal parts gin, vermouth, and Campari. Yes, it’s really that simple. Just follow our recipe. Thank us later.

Ingredients

1. 25ml gin (We’ve used London Dry Gin)
2. 25ml sweet vermouth
