Tu Kab Khao

Located in Phuket Old Town, Tu Kab Khao is a popular fine-dining restaurant known for serving authentic Southern Thai and Phuketian Cuisine. The magic takes place inside an elegant colonial-era building, where the cooks combine local ingredients into delectable creations. The restaurant’s appeal is illustrated by the prestigious Bib Gourmand title and the frequenting of Thai celebrities and influencers. The only Michelin-starred restaurant in Phuket, PRU, short for Plant Raise Understand crafts creative vegetarian dishes inspired by the diverse ecosystems of Thailand. From amuse-bouches to desserts, each dish is made using fresh vegetables, herbs, and flowers from their farm, Pru Jampa. With premium wine pairings, savour its dynamic six-course vegetarian meals including innovative dishes like fishtail bamboo, wood sorrel fruit and sweet carrots with caramelized coconut. This fine-dining restaurant’s inspiring approach to organic food creation earned it a Michelin Green Star in 2020.

Magnolia Café is a family friend fine-dining establishment that was elevated to Bib Gourmand status by its exceptional cuisine quality and a cost-effective à la carte menu. It is embellished by colourful vintage décor, glitzy chandeliers and four large communal tables where its customers can relish flavours from across Thailand. Savour tantalising dishes, such as fried sun-dried squid with peanut sauce, fresh watermelon with desiccated salmon and fried pork belly tum makua. Apart from having a decent selection of wines, they serve exquisite complimentary desserts in the form of pandan pudding.

A special fine-dining restaurant based in the quaint province of Udon Thani, Samuay & Sons serves a contemporary Isaan tasting menu and scrumptious à la carte dishes made from foraged ingredients. Originating from northeastern Thailand, the Isaan food is known for its strong flavours with sweet, spicy and citrus notes. The restaurant has an excellent seasonal tasting menu which includes seafood, pork, and other meats, and a separate vegetarian and gluten-free menu. Its modern rendition of traditional Isaan cuisine has earned it a Bib Gourmand label.
