After all that binge eating and drinking during the festive time, it’s now detox time to flush out the toxins
It’s been a week of holiday celebrations. So you’re totally drained! All partied out, wined out, dined out, and feeling very, very sluggish. You need to sleep for a week just to get your energy back. It’s exactly like ‘the morning after the night before’ times ten! All that binging has taken its toll. You really need to detox – get all those toxins out of your body, rejuvenate, center yourself and emerge lighter, energetic and a lot happier.
Need a bit of support here? Like what to do and how to do it? First and foremost, you need to know that detoxifying does not mean you starve. It just means you eat right and eat light.

THE 7 DAY DETOX PLAN
1. Start each day with warm lemon water to cleanse your liver.
2. Eat a couple of spoonfuls of ground flax seeds soaked overnight in prune juice. This helps to get rid of any toxins from the colon.
3. Have light meals. The more fresh soups the better. Try and have dinner before 8 pm.
4. Incorporate lots of rainbow veggies and if you must have meats, stick to lean white meats like chicken or fish for detox.
5. Avoid heavy spices, and processed and fried foods. And gluten if you can.
6. Snack on fresh fruit or untoasted seeds and nuts, if you must.
7. Cut out sugars, for the next 7 days they are evil.
8. Drink lots and lots of water. Swap coffee for fresh-pressed juices or have green tea instead.
9. Get plenty of sleep. Give your body and mind time to rest and rejuvenate.
10. Exercise faithfully and /or do yoga for that extra energy and get rid of those pesky unwanted calories.
After 7 days of detox, you should feel great! Continue for another week and you’ll feel positively fabulous!
