A new study weighs up rates of crime, happiness, LGBTQ+ acceptance and more to rank European cities based on friendliness
While friendliness might seem tough to measure, luggage storage company Bounce has had a go. Bounce’s study ranked cities in Europe by taking into account a whole bunch of factors, from levels of crime and happiness to LGBTQ+ attitudes.
Top of Bounce’s study was… Zurich in Switzerland! Receiving a perfect AAA rating for LGBTQ+ acceptance whilst also scoring high on happiness and low on crime, the Swiss city is apparently Europe’s friendliest destination.
Next on the list was Copenhagen, also largely thanks to its levels of happiness and LGBTQ+ acceptance, whilst third came Munich, which apparently enjoys exceptionally low levels of crime.
Here are the full top ten friendliest cities in Europe right now, according to Bounce’s study.
- Zurich, Switzerland
- Copenhagen, Denmark
- Munich, Germany
- Amsterdam, Netherlands
- Vienna, Austria
- Stockholm, Sweden
- Berlin, Germany
- Prague, Czech Republic
- Edinburgh, UK
- Dublin, Ireland
