The Netherlands’ biggest tulip garden is opening soon – with seven million blooms
Even if you don’t consider yourself particularly into flowers, it’s difficult not to be taken aback by the sheer, dazzling scale of Keukenhof. The Netherlands’ largest and most famous flower festival is pure tulip mania: its displays contain hundreds of varieties of the bulbs, with a whopping seven million blooms overall.
Keukenhof’s 2023 edition kicks off on March 23 and will last all the way through to May 14. During that time all the gardens will be open to the public, who can expect the displays to transform on a weekly basis. And while, obviously, there’ll be plenty of tulips, also on display will be irises, lilies, daffodils, orchids, hyacinths and much more. Throughout the gardens, you’ll find loads of themed pavilions, as well as plenty of opportunities for tours (on bike and on foot), boating and picnics. Fancy a visit? Garvi Gujarat Tourist train flagged off from Delhi; 10 more to be launched soon
The latest Bharat Gaurav train to be flagged off is the ‘Garvi Gujarat,’ which aims at showcasing the heritage of the state. If reports are to go by, 10 more circuits are in offing.
This latest train that has been flagged off has the capacity to accommodate 156 tourists onboard. It started its 8-day ‘Garvi Guarat’ tour from Delhi Safdarjung Railway Station, and its first stoppage will be at Kevadiya, where the Statue of Unity will be the centre of attraction. As per the reports, the entire train journey will be around 3500 km, which it will cover during this eight-day journey.
The other famous attractions that has been included in this tour itinerary are Champaner archaeological park, which is also a UNESCO world heritage site, Adalaj Step Well, Akshardham Temple at Ahmedabad, Sabarmati Ashram, Modhera Sun Temple, and the Rani ki Vao. Apart from these, religious sites like Somnath Jyotirlinga, Nageshwar Jyotirlinga, Dwarkadheesh Temple and Beyt Dwarka have also been included.

On Tuesday, February 28, 2023, MV Ganga Vilas, the world’s longest river cruise, completed its maiden voyage in Dibrugarh, Assam, after sailing for 50 days. The luxury river cruise started its journey on January 13 from Varanasi. On this epic maiden voyage, the luxury cruise MV Ganga Vilas explored the incredible inland waterways of over 3,200 km, 27 river systems and across five Indian states (Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Assam) and Dhaka in Bangladesh.
What’s next for MV Ganga Vilas?
Starting Thursday, March 2, 2023, MV Ganga Vilas will set sail on its second trip, that is, a 30-day voyage to Kolkata via Dhaka, Bangladesh. As per reports, the luxury river cruise is all booked for the next two years!
How much does this luxury river cruise cost, you ask? For the time period of 51 days, it costs approximately INR 20-25 Lakhs per person. The cost is the same for domestic and international guests. However, if the 51-day cruise is not what you are aiming for, you can also go for the shorter tours.
