You can stay on the actual film set of ‘The Hobbit’ and ‘Lord of the Rings’
If you’ve ever wanted to spend the night in the actual Hobbiton, here’s your chance. As part of the tenth anniversary celebrations of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, you’ll be able to stay at the real-life Hobbiton movie set in New Zealand on Airbnb.
And what’s on offer isn’t just an overnight stay. As well as access to their own personal Hobbit Hole, guests will get a private behind-the-scenes tour of the set, as well as an evening feast, ‘second breakfast’ and ‘elevenses’ at Hobbiton’s The Green Dragon Inn. It’ll be the first time that anyone has had the chance to stay overnight in Hobbiton. Three two-night stays at Hobbiton will be available (on March 2-4, 9-11 and 16-18, 2023) and they’ll be dished out on a first-come, first-served basis. With space for up to four guests, the hobbit holes will all also cost just NZD$10 (£5.20, $6.30) per night.
