News at 9: India scraps Air Suvidha form filling, Integrated Tourist Pass to come soon to Kolkata, Mussoorie Winterline carnival Come December last week, Mussoorie will be ready to welcome visitors from all over the country and the world to experience the winterline phenomenon. The carnival is going to be a beautiful mix of nature, culture and food, so you better not miss it. There’s going to be a host of events at the carnival including heritage walks, star-gazing, nature walks, performances by local and folk artists, paragliding, bungee jumping, skating, traditional food, clothes and handicrafts stalls, and puppet shows to name a few. Also, as a part of the carnival, there will be campfires organised in various locations across Mussoorie.

India scraps Air Suvidha form filling for international arrivals

As per the latest development, it has been decided to lift the mandate of filling up the Air Suvidha form for all international passengers.

Air Suvidha is an online system that was put into place for International passengers to submit a mandatory ‘Self Declaration’ form to declare their current health status. This form was made mandatory, whereas all international passengers entering the country via flights were required to fill it before boarding. So with this latest development, iInternational travellers entering India will no longer be required to fill up the said self-declaration form, called Air Suvidha, for COVID-19 related screening of passengers. Also, passengers will not be required to submit a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR report.

Integrated Tourist Pass to come soon to Kolkata

Exploring Kolkata will soon get easier, for the city is planning to introduce Integrated Tourist Pass – single-ticket entry provision for multiple tourist spots. This means, no more waiting in line for tickets!

Tourist attractions including the Victoria Memorial, Indian Museum, Science City, Nicco Park, Alipore Zoo to name a few, will be included. For now, the tourism department has collaborated with more than 30 popular tourist attractions in Kolkata. At present, the integrated pass is still in the making, and once it is ready, it will be made available online (app-based) and also over-the-counter at designated venues. To make the experience more convenient and less confusing, various attractions will be clubbed together. Every zone will have its own set of attractions clubbed together.

December is for Mussoorie Winterline Carnival 2022

Head to Mussoorie in the last week of December for the annual Mussoorie Winterline Carnival 2022. The festival is doing a grand comeback after a gap of almost two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Come December last week, Mussoorie will be ready to welcome visitors from all over the country and the world to experience the winterline phenomenon.
