Johnnie Walker releases Black Label with Air-Ink
Diageo-owned Johnnie Walker has unveiled six limited edition bottles for its Black Label series, created using an ink made from air pollution. The Keep Walking City collection was made in partnership with Air-Ink, a brand that creates ink by condensing carbon-based gaseous effluents generated by air pollution.
Six cities are represented by individual bottles in the range, and only 2,500 bottles per city will be available to purchase between July to September this year. The cities comprise: Mexico City, New Delhi, Warsaw, Bangkok, Istanbul and Madrid. The six artists featured as part of the limited edition series include: Alek Morawski, the artist who designed the Warsaw bottling; Okuda San Miguel, for Madrid; Paola Delfín, for Mexico City; Shilo Shiv Suleman, for Delhi; Mr Hure for Istanbul; and Gongkan, for Bangkok.
Starbucks Adds New Chicken Sandwich, Plus ‘Paradise Drink’ and Pineapple Passionfruit Refreshers To Its Summer Menu
In Starbuck’s new summer menu debuting today, the first day of summer, the Chicken Maple Butter and Egg Sandwich features breaded white meat chicken, fluffy eggs, and a maple butter spread on a toasted oat biscuit roll for what Starbucks describes as “a satisfying and savory sandwich with a hint of sweetness.” A brand spokesperson confirmed to us that, indeed, this new permanent menu item is the first time a chicken sandwich has landed on at Starbucks stores in the U.S. Starbucks also unveiled two new summer beverages: the Pineapple Passionfruit Starbucks Refresher and Paradise Drink Starbucks Refresher, both of which are also joining the permanent menu.
The Pineapple Passionfruit beverage features “tropical flavors of pineapple and passionfruit, hand shaken by Starbucks baristas with real diced pineapple pieces and ice to create a delicious island escape that is 100 calories for a Grande. “The Paradise Drink Starbucks Refreshers beverage is like sunshine in a cup — the bright tropical flavors are radiant, happy, and joyful.”
