Ladakh to give Nubra Valley an upgrade and develop Sumoor desert

Visitors to Ladakh will very soon get to see Nubra Valley in a new refurbished look and will be able to experience the valley as a multi-destination.
Major focus will be on having improved facilities in the area to ensure that the tourists have a good and meaningful visit. One of the many developments will be to put fences around Hunder sand dunes to ensure the safety and welfare of the double humped Bactrian camels. These camels are a big part of the tourism in the area. These Bactrian camels are used in desert safari.
Nubra, to be a multi-destination, will be developed in such a planned way that there can be Silk Route heritage walks and nature walks in and around the area. Astro tourism is also included in the development plans.
