The Opening Credit scene of John Badham’s landmark 1977 musical drama, Saturday Night Fever, shows (John Travolta) strolling along 86th Street and stopping by at Lenny’s Pizza for a bite of the crusty, cheesy, double-decker slice. With that scene, a star was born. This Brooklyn Pizzeria founded in 1954 is renowned for its specialty pizzas like the whole-wheat margarita with grilled vegetables, the Caprese square, and the spicy buffalo chicken pie. Lenny’s also serves excellent calzones, salads, whole-wheat wraps, pasta, and Philly steaks. Next time you land in NYC, head straight to Lenny’s and grab a slice of their delectable pizza and munch them as you ace Travolta’s classic New York move with Bee Gees Stayin’ Alive playing in the background.
