You may recall this place from the 1994 British Rom-Com Four Weddings and a Funeral. A quaint street cafe in Covent Garden is the setting for this kiss-and-tell meet between Charles (Hugh Grant) and Carrie (Andie McDowell). Cafe Rouge was launched in Richmond, London in 1989 by Karen Jones and Roger Myers, foodies on a mission to recreate real French food in a Parisian bistro-style setting. Over the last 30 years, Cafe Rouge has grown to become the most successful, and best recognized, French restaurant group in the United Kingdom with over 60 Cafe Rouge restaurants throughout the UK including an airport concessions in Heathrow and four restaurants in Center Parcs.
The restaurant chain is famous for core classics including Steak Frites, Poulet Breton, and Moules. They also have a selection of croques and baguettes with vegan and kids’ options too.
